So, I did my first family style portrait session on Monday evening. No flash b/c we were on location and I've got no where to plug it in. Overall, I'm happy with them. It was hotter than hell so it was a quick shoot.

Not bad for no artificial lighting.
Get some reflectors homie!
Better yet... Get some flashes and wireless triggers ( :

This^ This!
looks good but some fill reflectors or a flash with a omni bounce would be good for fill lighting!

I need a hotshoe flash in a pretty bad way. I bought a starter two light flash kit but need to be near a power outlet to use them.
I tried using a reflector but those weird ass trees made using it a huge PITA. There was always a shadow dropping onto part of the reflector. So I got frustrated with that and just decided to shoot natural light.

it really is a neat place. I wish they had real rocks rather than the faux rocks around the water though.

x2 sometimes its hard for parents to notice or accept the fact that their child has a lazy eye but shes still in time for treatment. just my 2 cents.
