I would wash it out with soap and water first then never dull with lots of elbow grease we used to polish everything metal with never dull when I was in the Marines. It even works fairly well on waxed floors.

lol i feel ya bout putting elbow grease to make things shine. i was in the army and we use to have to do that for room inspections. FUCK i hated it. but it looked dam good. im picking up the exhaust tonight. im very excited.

Got the exhaust last night. you can see the axel back is stainless and the other part is steel, but both are RSR parts. since i have good pics of it, any suggestions to make this baby shine?

You can kind of see the RSR on the bottom of the exhaust

If you have a decent DA polisher that can accept 4 inch pads, then use that with some good stainless polish. Use a terry or sheepskin bonnet for the final polish.

When did RS*R cheap out? My old DA exhaust was full stainless. Black painted 404, as I recall. I would think your midsection is too...

well i think the steel portion is not RSR, just was badged for emissions like that in japan. they both have the badges that i have pictured. but the axel back is all stainless steel. the piping is 2 1/12..i cant wait to get this baby on

i used mothers mag and aluminum polish, a rag and my hand. took about 6 or 7 hours. took lots of breaks in between cus my hand began to hurt. but thats all i did. im not a pro at this. in fact this was the first time i ever did this. i think learning how to shine boots in the army paid off lol.
