I have an ls vtec and i was racing my friend in his single slammer eg and i know what hes got. we were neck and neck. Im wondering why my ls is not running as quick as it should be. any ideas let me know please...

well it could be many thing. what ecu u running on? what gas are u using? what vtec head are u using? maybe it need a tune. n who built the motor? etcsss

well im not sure what ecu it is off the top of my head but it says 92 acura on it what ecu do u recommened. and 91 gas and yeah maybe a tune. and some guy in phoenix built it, he said he built honda motors for fun when i bought it off of him.

im assuming ur running the wrong ecu that for sure. btw what car is it n what year? my advice is get the correct ecu that was made for vtec such as PR3, P30, P72, P73, etcs... n even the chipped P28

take a pic of the side of the ecu numbering... probably needs to be tune.

haha its kinda slow tell vtec then its normal but before 3k rpms theres just no balls but it doesnt bog what so ever. and timing is poi fect.
isnt it when you delete cruise control you have to plug the lines or else it will run slower? or am i just fuckin high?

if the motor was bulid bearly it could be that it wasnt broken in properly. same shit happend to my friend then i unclogged all the metal shaving out of everywhere and it pulled hard. did you drop the oil eerytime you had to and all that other shit?

find out what you have foresure, you prob need a tune and wouldnt hurt to get some P30 b16 pistons if u still have the LS in there. take ur ecu to locash or get a P30 DOHC vtec ecu

well whats all done to it. is it a stock block with a stock head? because that will get you no where. check ur ignition timing. your ecu. if its a gsr ecu w/stock intake mani use that ecu if its a gsr w/different intake mani or b16 do like a p28 chipped. start with stupid shit like plugs wires. my single cam did the same shit till i changed plug and wires and now it runs perfect. keep us posted.

i have lsv in a eg 4door and im still beating b16 crxs and hatches you need to get the right ecu and chip it that will helpupdate your valve train get cams and better pistons you will feel a differance
