Could be the ignition control module in the dizzy... I'd start there if there's no CEL.

why would he replace cap n rotor if theres nothing wrong with em?
Spending 30 on a dmm and/or doing some simple and free tests is a lot cheaper than throwing parts at the problem $50 at a time
im in a driveability (fuel/ign/diag) class right now at school hit me up 480 678 3346

my response was to ek coupe mainly, however if the car starts and runs its probablynot the cap/rotor. If the car runs out of or starts dumping fuel at random it would definitely cause the problems hes experiencing. There are easy ways to diag the ignition without buying new shit, thats all im saying, but im not going to try to explain via posting, hence my phone number

if its bogging down on accel, or after hot but cruises fine i would check fuel pressure. 28-36 normally, 38-46 psi vac line disconected from fuel press reg.
