So i've got a little bit of a grind on my tranny.. i'm thinking it's a syncro what do you guys think?

My tranny grinds shifting UP into third NOT down and will only grind if your going above 20 or so MPH. Seeing as it only does it on an up shift and above 20 i'm thinking it's a synchro problem?? But idk.

drain the oil from the transmission and put GM Syncro Mesh in. Works wonders

oh word? wouldnt it be better using ur factory transmission fluid from honda?

For a new transmission, i would agree. But for a transmission that is having problems..... GM syncro mesh FTW!

oh word have u tried it? might try this since my 3 gear is grinding at high RPM

I am currently using it, my 3rd gear didn't feel right and now all gears shift like butter.

Well if it was a fluid thing wouldn't it be doing this on all gears?

I have changed tranny fluid in a ton of cars and believe me that GM Synchro Mesh is the best way to go. I had a tranny once that wouldnt go into 3rd & 5th with out hell, and every gear would grind every time no matter when you shift. My buddy has that tranny on his 220k+ car and its shifting like new with no grinds at all. :clap:

I have used it in all my trannys LOVE It. Works wonders specially if you like bangin gears.:thumbsup:

Maybe i should try this, but doesn't this just mask the problem?

the only true way to solve the issue, is to rebuild the transmission ... Period!

But this will give you more life out of it

Well that sounds pricy :sucker: but i'll give this a shot before i abandon all hope of it shifting fine.

Screw it, dropped it off at Tempe Honda tonight.. they give me employee pricing, so they can figure it out :thumbup:
