Car System Help

Ok i been trying to get in contact with the guy that did my system, he said he will fix it but i keep callin him and he just dont answer, hes shop closed down and i pretty much have no way of getting ahold of him since he dosent answer his phone, and when he does he says "Yea il go fix it tomorrow, where you live again?"
Problem: Everytime i turn up my stereo after a while the subs turn offand make this nasy loud thump, and the stereo turns off for like 3 seconds then the highs come on and 3 seconds later the subs back on. Im afraid to even play it cause im afraid its going to pop my subs.. What can this problem be?

Is this in your lexus? Def sounds like a wiring issue.

maybe it's over heating... turn your gain on the amp down.

possible problems :
Rca Cables
Rca Output bad On deck
rca inputs. on amp
look at these spots mentioned and jently jiggle the rca cabble to see if there is sound made through the speakers.
always check for good contract ground to solid non painted metal

i think it was a cable hooked on the battery it was really loose and almost coming off.. it is in my 05 Denali, some of you might of seen it at pavillions..but so far it hasnt been doing it so i hope that was it
