View Full Version : E-brake light comes on when engine is really cold?

so in the morning when its cold i'll start my car up and the E-brake light stays on? but once it gets warm enough it goes away, anyone know whats going on?

you're not taking off when it's cold meaning you're e brake is still up lol

clean the reservoir float assembly before you replace it

Like they said, check out your reservoir. My ebrake light would stay on when I had low brake fluid, so it could be that or something isn't right in the master cylinder itself. Good luck lol

Mine comes on and stays on when I am low on brake fluid due to my fluid leak. check you fluid level, and your reservoir cap like others have stated.

I had this exact same problem when I first moved to flagstaff years ago, get some of that lithium electrical contact grease and spray a very small amount at the ebrake ground sensor beneath the center console. This may not be your problem but it is worth a look if it's not your reservoir cap

check your brake fluid.. thats usually a sensor on all hondas.. if the brake fluid is low the brake light will stay on
