easy on the photoshop dude, good photography isn't a bunch of pictures all edited up.
What kind of camera are you using? Also the flash is a little much, a point and shoot camera?

pic 3 is the only one i would consider decent. the rest are too photoshopped and don't reflect what the car really looks like at all.

not bad for your first try though i guess.

well, we all start somewhere. You'll instinctively learn what does and does not make a pic look good as you progress. For now just remember these two things:
1. NO FLASH
2. TRI-POD

And don't do that black and white weird sketchy thing.

Ease up on the photoshop, and read about exposure. All of those images are overexposed.

Composition is alright.

Good luck!

LOL Too much photoshop.. you should tell that to the majority of photographers these days. I whole-heartedly agree... I think you should focus on setting everything RIGHT before shooting to save post-production work and time, but a lot of the big time photographers these days just fire away and then edit edit edit.

Oh and using filters is not "using photoshop".. in actuality.. you are only using maybe $2 worth of photoshop there with filters...

i got a nikon d40 from my photography class and i know easy on the photoshop i was just trying to make them cool for my brother and plus the area had no lights at all that is why the exposure is bad and they look bad. ill post up some other pictures i taken tommorow from school of my brothers car and his friends

People on here will tell you the D40 isn't the best, but I have one and there is room to improve a lot with your pictures because of the camera.

Just sit down and mess with the settings and get used to the camera.

When you post anything on the internet you open yourself to critiques and criticism. What you are getting here is criticism in its most basic form.

you want the truth nothing but the truth, something bull shit god?
they suck, and if your going to class for this, if i were the teacher, i would have shit my pants and started eatting it.

you are working with a DSLR, a camera that is suited for SERIOUS photographers regardless if its a rebel or d40.
this pictures are not accpectable by any means coming from this camera

go post these on nikons website, you think were mean, you'll meet a whole new breed of mean, they'll tear you apart in a whole different language.
study other peoples pictures. thats key right now for you at least

#2 and the last one are nice, the others just don't do it for me.

Second to last one still has serious overexposure on the right half of the image.

Google Ken Rockwell D40 Guide it will teach you a lot about the D40!
