what color should i paint my old BMW

Ok just picked up a 83 528E, want to paint it but unsure what color to go for.
I am leaning towards a pearl blue, but open to other opinions.

the blue would look pretty cool. I've seen a red one with black rims, looked mean as hell, so maybe if you like that, you can think about putting in the beamer. It was like a....nismo 350z red, but a taaaaad darker.

Are you painting the car in your garage? If so, how do you avoid overspray on the walls and whatnot? I had a neighbor who painted a Porsche 911 Guards Red in his garage, and the walls, tools etc. ended up red. Color looks great BTW.

Thanks guys my dad was the painter, since im just a novice compared to him. He has been doing this for 15+ years.
I Shall get better pics tomorrow when the sun shines. Still needs a wetsand and buff for the color to really glow.

As far as wheels go, I need to see how it looks with the stocks on, just might paint them bronze???

As far as over spray in walls IDK, maybe he has the air pressure to high? lol

correct, he did this one. He has been doing this shit for over 15 years. When it comes to pearls or expensive paint he is the one that does em for me lol. I mostly do 2 stage paints and body work.

:thumbsup::thumbsup: For having all the tools in the trunk! That brings in points! Bro has them all too, has plans for his. Really rare one too have also. Was actually imported with no Governed Trans, LSD and something else...believe the engine is one not offered here as well for the E12. When he insured it guy freaked out and wanted to pay him cash on the spot for it. These engines are famous for sounding like an effing Jet when the Intake is removed. Love how it sounds.

Anyways love the color, great choice. Makes me think twice what my next color is going to be on my teg.
