stock eg, dist not firing

So i bought this EG and it had some small problems with it starting up, so i bought it anyways cause it was cheap.

Now i went to fix the problem and its not firing up at all when i went to start it. I figured the harness with fucked cause it had been sitting for some time, so i replaced it.

I also replaced the dist and the cap and rotor, still same problem.

Ive checked all the fuses and all are good cant get a reason to why it would randomly stop firing. with the new cap and rotor on there, there are no firing marks on them from it trying to get some spark.

Im gettin fuel, air, just no spark/dist not firing.

check for 12vlts on the Black/yellow wire...key on should be 12vts.

I would also swap out the entire dizzy with a known working one....

do u have a d? if so pm me i got a dizzy. also check ur plus/wires. this happened to me and i replace the dizzy and wires and it ended up being the plugs. watch out for vatozone wires they will sometimes pop outta the cap and can eventually foul all ur plugs...happened to me

You might wanna check the igniter. Its located inside the dizzy.

That's why I said swap it out with someones good dizzy and see if there's no problems....

You might wanna check the igniter. Its located inside the dizzy.
I agree. Check the coil and igniter. Civic's have issues with coils. Look at the coil and see if it has a white hot spot on it.

my del slo has this problem too. I've got it narrowed down to the coil or igniter as there is power going to the dizzy through the black/yellow wire, but the plug wires have no power output. Good luck man :thumbsup:

check your oil and coolant levels.

sometimes if the the sensors inside your radiator and oilpan don't sense enough fluid, they won't let there be spark.
