I am going to have my head milled and tanked. Should I replace any vavle retainers ect its jfor a d16z6 head. What are ur thoughts

Umm no? The only things i'd consider while the heads at a machine shop are the following.
Depending on mileage, a valve job, valve guides and seals.
Then again, its a d series head, u can usually get a better condition one for half the price of all the machine work.
Or if your like me, you love having 0 mile fresh stuff and woudl rather invest the money on maintaining what you already have :)

I would NEVER spend alotta cash on a d-series head/block/tranny unless im planning on boosting it or im keeping it forever. Just my opinion though.

You should give the money to me instead of being a dumb shit. Thats the kind of stuff you do when you car can go faster than 16's.

new valve seals. Then save ur money for fun stuff

Retainers hardly ever wear out. I'd keep the ones you have. Save some money.
