View Full Version : Any good digi cam repair stores in Tucson?

Ok so here's the deal, last year I bought a Fuji film Finepix S1000 and I love the thing considering it's a point and shoot. Anyway, I go to use it and my lens won't come out. It says zoom error on the screen, and obviously the image is blurry because the lens is jammed. Is there a place around here that can un-jam the motor on it for less than I paid for the damn thing? I only paid $200, and it was money well spent until now. Any input is greatly appreciated.

If your ever in Phoenix you could drop it off at Tempe Camera and they will take a look at it and let you know if they find anything wrong with it but that takes a couple of days. I looked up camera repair stores in Tucson and came up with

lens error typically means something in the assembly is broken, minimum repair more than likely is 150. buy a new camera.

i worked for ritz for 3 years, and dealt with a lot of repairs, we sent our shit to CRIS in chandler, but i told a lot of people to go to tempe camera, lens error means buy a new camera, my guess is either it hit something, got something in it, or you dropped it (or someone else), the thing is the lens doesn't typically do that by itself, you could check with fuji to see if they might warranty repair it, but usually the warranty is a 1 year parts and labor with only a 90 day manufacture guarantee, so you'd still probably be better of buying another one. since the price for an equivalent camera is around the same price to repair it.
