Hey guys! i might be joining the em2 scene petty soon here i was wondering of and common/recurring problems that you might have with your civic. You're also welcome to post some of the more positive things this year has to offer. Thanks!!

i hope this is not a re-post the search didn't show anything.

Common ones that I know of are as follows

Piss poor power the engine base is mainly for economy and not really for go. Although you can turbo and so on you may not be willing to put that much time/effort on it

The manual tranny I hear is troublesome lots of pople have had theirs go out around 75k. I don't know if there are other issues that people have with it, but I know this is a common gripe.

Also there is a problem with the seat rails for some reason the front seats tend to shake a little bit like they arent bolted down properly. Seat swap fixed that for me other than that pretty good car

My first and only big problem with the car so far was at 125k when teh head gasket went and iv'e owned it since mile 1.

I never had an specific problem. The seat problem is in the bushings. They can be replaced and are less prominent in later years.

Few tranny issues with early models. This isn't prominent at all either, simply some feedback on issues we've seen. Anything after 04+ is pretty safe.

Oh, they catch on fire too.

stock d17 very slow.
to build correctly will cost lots of $$
tranny is junk
headgasket is weak, mine also went out at 120
very little aftermarket support and the support you have.. everything is pretty pricey.
you're the bastard child of every gen civic.

i'd tell them if they promised to throw in a week with a hooker, the salesman kisses my ass, and the car has a warranty then id' pay that much.

Update!- i took the car in, a few hours later they called back and said they ran all the tests and the misfire was related to coolant levels (My car was a decent amount low on coolant) and they said that my head gasket was fine. but when i get it back on wed im still going to take it to the good guys at arrowhead Honda and ask them to run some tests to make sure every things ok.

On the bright side! they are fixing my drivers side door lock actuator and splitting the cost
