starting problem

every morning whenm i get and my car and i want to start it up it just doesnt i hear my pump turn on and my car cranks but no start ...after a couple of tries it starts after that it will start right up !!its only in the morning or when the car sit for a while without being drivin

when you turn the key to on do you let it sit until the check engine light goes off, then crank it?

how old is your battery and are you using the right one? in the winter time your car needs a battery with the right cold cranking amps to fire it up.

real old i think it is that cuz when i turn the key over the check engine light starts opf very dim and get brighter

Alternator or battery? Get a new battery an see if that works.
