normal "muscle car" style hood pins are gay... look more flush mount style.

look at;
http://www.hoodpins.net/products.php (black locking)
or
http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_viewItemBundle.asp?idProduct=26361 (smooth top mount keyed locking)
or the cheapest carbon ones...

The aerocatch pins are the ones I've been lookin at. I think the carbon on carbon might not look right. Anyone seen or have any pics of the carbon locks on a carbon hood?

The only time I had hood pins was when my car didn't have a hood latch, otherwise I'd never rock em again.

fix the hood latch

He never said that his latch was broke. He has a carbon fiber hood and thinks that it will fly up with it being shut by the hood latch only.

Don't do it, I personally think that they look like shit.

i liked knowing that the pins help the hood from flying off. i use to have them on my civic tha had a carbon fiber hood. altho if i were to do it again, the hide-away hood pins is the way id go.

I would and need to run them cause the lack of the latch, other wise get the locking ones so they don't jack your shit

As easy.

I used to have some like this on my old CRX. . .didn't want them but the hood latch was broken and a little shakey, so to be safe I got some flush mount one like this.

i say yes and no. if your ride is clean i say no but on the other hand i had a hood fly up on me at 90mph even after i pulled on it to make sure it was closed. scariest moment in my life. if you get any get the flush fitting pins to make it "less noticeable" but for the safty stand point i totally agree with them as a extra step to make sure your hood wont fly up.

i dont like stick up tall hood pins....
but i DO like the flat black flush type.
maybe do just one. Pure function and flat and black so it doesnt draw huge attention. Hood pins add clutter to the underhood zone which is ghey

Thanks for all the input guys, I figure I can put the stock hood on when I go to the track. I barley drive the car so I'm not to worried about it flying up. I just wont do any freeway driving with it, and keep an eye on the hinge area for cracks. I think I should be okay.
