whats worng with it? why would you wanna do that? usually what people do is put the oil pump/water pump of gsr on ls to make lsv but on the head part, nothing will transfer from one to another like the mani or internals on the head

sorry guys im not going lsv i have a gsr block and plan on buying a gsr head and just go all gsr. but my gsr is complete with oil pump, water pump and all internals. the only thing that it didnt come with is the flywheel and the sensors. can any of those from my LS go to my GSR block? and im keeping my LS tranny. would i keep my LS axles? what about ECU?

flywheel, clutch, speed sensor, all misc sensors, & axles/intermidiate shaft (assuming the ls is manual)from the ls will fit on the gsr.

ecu, you'll want a gsr p72

assuming your car is currently obd1, you'll want to make everything obd1 to keep it simple. get an obd1 p72 ecu. You can use an ls distributor if you cut off 2 of the mounting holes (ie, you'll only have the top mount hole that lines up), or you can just find a obd1 b16 or gsr vtec dizzy & use that. Injectors are the same, but obviously intake manifolds are different. You can also use your old starter/alternator etc...

if your car is currently obd2 then match everything to that.

either way if your car is originally an LS/non-vtec you'll also need to wire it up to make that work.

you could but you don't have to, you can just use your ls & run one wire for vtec, easier & cheaper...
