Do you ever plan on going over the stock rev limit? If no and still want the auto to destroy your hopes on power, then yes keep it auto. If you want to have fun, make power, and actually be able to upgrade something on the drive train side of things, then go 5speed.

My honest opinion, if you are planning on keeping the stock d series, don't waste your time and money on auto to manual swap.
Save and buy a B series or atleast a VTEC sohc swap first if you are going to do that. Much more worth the effort.

Lies, don't listen. Do what you want. There are plenty of N/A and boosted D's that will SPANK a B...and like wise. The only limit on power is money. Maybe detonation, but who cares about that lmao...Oh and an auto tranny ;)

5 speed definately bro! I just did a 5 spd conversion on my Teg & it went smoothly, was way easier then made out to be, just make sure u get the rite conversion tranny mount or u will f*ck up the tranny,, or axles or BOTH. they will bind if not in correct position causing axles to bend and poss break and it fucks up the differential inside the tranny

Well lets due math how much does a single cam hydro tranny go for....last one I got was 100 bucks thanks to ***blownspeakerbox*****and have to get the shfit linkage maybe that should run you 30 bucks and u have to get the 5 speed tranny mount with plate that should be 20-50 depends then u got to get a flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate that should run u at least 150 for a decent clutch..... then the pedal assembly that's gonna be at least 60-80 bucks..... then u gotta get a clutch resovoir and that should run you umm I don't know depends if u go to a junk yard and swipe it...then u have to get lines to run to the slave cylinder....and can't for get the ecu couse u have to swap it for a 5 speed ecu depends also a p28 should be 100-120 or non p28 one should be at least 60-80......

So the best answer is if ur willing to this all this work and sepnd more money on sumtin that u don't really have the cash for....just save ur self the headaches from doing all this and scavenging for parts just look for a 5 speed around ur price range they'll come out of sumwere in time but if you really need a car get around get the automatic civic just to get you rollin and save money and down the road sell the civic....but its ur call bro
