Just bought a 2001 honda civic ex , found that the power door lock switch does not work , when I flipped the switch (on driver side) I can hear the clicking sound on both sides of the doors but it does not lock/unlock . Did some reading and I already checked fuses under the hood ( #9 10A and #16 20A ) both were good , I even swapped with the new fuses too but fruitless . What else should I check please ? Appreciate any inputs. By the way this car has an aftermarket radio & I just bought a Clifford car alarm + keyless entry , had it installed @ Frys electronics and the installer told me maybe the the wiring is messed up because the power door lock wiring ties into the factory radio wiring ???

on almost every civic when u press the lock button it doesnt work for the driver door its not just urs. To make it lock pull your driver door handle and push the driver lock down and it should lock them both!

I was just about to say that.

Its a safety caution thing so you don't lock your keys in the car. If the door is open it won't lock by pressing the button.
