I'm lookin to find dirt rally suspension for my 91 ef hatch. KSport has one for asphalt rally but i'm gonna jump this bitch so i need a lil more travel.

Can anyone help me find some or know someone who's done this? btw, i've been to the rally forums but hardly anyone is on there and its never a local.

Also looking for AZHT's general opinion on rally racing, would you build/buy one?

(aslo looking for b18b swap if ya got one hit me up)

If you're seriously thinking of doing rally, you have to be prepared to have stuff custom fabricated for you. I'm sure the Tein 96-00 Rally suspension can be modified to fit your car, or your car modified to accept such setup.

If you are unwilling to do so and think you can just bolt on parts and go rally racin, you are sadly mistaken. GL

im ok with cuttin and modifying and plan on having a full roll cage put in and the works, if absolutely neccessary i will custom fab new mounts for the coilovers, but i want to see if i can find pre fit products first

not trying to be a jerk.. but if you havent heard of a Escort in Rally races.. you should probably rethink this entire idea..
that is.. if i understood you correctly.

Good car but good luck finding one.

The Escort Cosworth was a rare car, with 7,145 vehicles produced from the start of production on 19 February 1992 until the last car rolled out of the factory on 12 January 1996. A tiny number were unofficially imported to the United States, where it was considered one of the greatest performance Fords of all time.

You need new arms for more travel. Or uniballs in the place of ball joints. The front is obviously much harder to work with, but the rear has issues, too. I don't really see how you'd get even a mild increase in travel given how limited you are with the trailing arm mounts; namely the center bushing and front toe compensator mount.

If you're really serious, I wouldn't even worry about the shocks and coils until you sort out how to get a few more inches of travel out of the arms. Don't fuck around with Tein or Ksport trash. It's all ricer bling, and I guarantee it would not hold up well offroad. Get something purpose built, not just a generic shock revalved with some soft springs on it. Penske and Ohlins make Civic coilovers that are acutally race proven.
