Ok so here's the delema (spelling). I was doing some audio work for my nieghbors truck and in return he said he would wax my car. I stressed the fact that no wax could get on my moldings as they were in almost mint condition. Well he got wax on them and now I can't get the whit or more of faded blackish off. Any thoughts I don't want to have to by new moldings and irritates the hell out of me.

Well you can paint your moldings and not worry about it, or get a product call back to black, which is designed for black molding, that should take that wax residue off.

mothers back to black<available in nearly any auto detailing section
black wow< not quite as normally available
^ i have not used either of these but on the detailing forums im on i have not seen any complaints as an OTC product.

another product id consider is meguiars trim detailer in the bottle, similar to BtB, however you have to order it.

You guys may think im bullshitting you but any time you get wax on black molding's simply grap some peanut butter and rub it on the molding. I have been detailing for many years now and this is the easiest most effective way to restore a fadded molding or molding with wax residue on it.
I have a jar of peanut butter sitting in my detail shop all the time.
The oils in peanut butter enrich the plastic as well as repel water.
