Has anyone ever heard of them or have received a random call telling you that you have and X amount of money that belongs to you that you haven't claimed?.. I keep getting calls and I finally called them back today and they kept asking for my address and couldn't tell me where the money was coming from they kept telling me they are a clearing house, but if I gave them my address then they would send me a check and then I will know who it's coming from but once I told them that I didn't want the money they had a supervisor call me and kept insisting that they would like to get me my money... I kept telling them I didn't want it cuz I didn't know where it was coming from and I don't believe in free money, cuz believe me if I knew someone owed me money I would know it... The funny things is that they told me that they didn't know where the money was coming from but when I kept declining the money they said that how about they contact the ones that want to give me that money and have them contact me if I would take it then, do you guys see the funny thing about that?.. They don't know where the money is coming from... LOL... I know who I owe money to and there's only one asshole who owes me money and it's more then they say I have unclaimed... I don't think if someone owed me money they would be so persistent in giving it back to me, so if anyone gets a call or letter from The National Center of Unclaimed Funds, don't give them your information...

i do...last weeks......they call me at 7:30 last night ...didnt want it..:spam: was written all over it.. then they call it againt the next morning..and i refuse..then i told them dont call me with that bs...or i will get law authorities involve and trade the call..and they stop calling ..

yea ive had that happen to me before too.. you can call this number and 30 days after you call it telemarketers wont be able to call that number anymore

seems legit, just give them all your bank info and have em wire it to your account, and your social security# so they know its really you.

But seriously i get e-mails like this all the time its just a scam.

That's exactly what I did... They didn't have my SSN# so I made sure they had it... I asked them to just direct deposit it so I gave them my bank account number and routin number...

I've actually heard of a legit government website where you plug in your name and it tells you if your owed any "unclaimed money" No idea what it was though.......


However.....this sounds like a scam, but who knows.

I have more info at work, but it does exist. not sure if the name is exactly the same but banks will transfer funds that have been in an inactive account over to this agency. one scenario as to why you're being called is if a person who has passed away had a POD account that listed you as the beneficiary then you would be the recipient of the funds.
