d16z6 --could not really feel the vtec.....,never got a video

b16a2- loud and feel the pull.....

only ever had a d16y8 SOHC vtec and you can hear it pull and sort of feel it, but its nothing like a b-series vtec motor.

working on a b16a2 now, excited.

I love H's too but just think they are a bitch to work with and costly when it comes to building it

I'll disagree with the OP and say that the K20 engines are some of the more fun VTEC motors I have driven. I guess the same could be said for the s2k motor for the same reason as the k20a...they just keep revving in VTEC and it just dares you to push it a little harder or a little further into a turn. I love cars that make you have a set of balls to get everything out of them :thumbsup:

Unfortunately I haven't experianced the all-powerful vtecness of the F20/22 in the S2K lol, but I've had my share of the D's, B's, H's and K's. And IMO for just the crossover and the actual "feel" or "pull" of vtec, I say the order probably goes...

2.K20A
3.B16A/B18C
4.H22A

My b18c1 gsr in my ej1 coupe pulled and sounded really good .only had minor bolt ons. And chiped p28......also my gsr b17a1 in my db2 was really good to.... when vtec engaged pulled harder and than my b18c1....all I had done to it was ported/polished manifold typeR t/b and cams and 6puck act clutch and i/h/e
