On a very serious note... I would very much like to thank those who have supported my shop over the years. I also appreciate those who don't really like my shop as well. We constantly strive to do the best we can for our customers. I care very much what you guys think about the work you receive from my shop. We all know that sometimes you can't please everyone. Not always do things go perfect and customers get let down.

This thread was meant to keep a light perspective on things and hopefully some humor would come out of it... maybe even some gripes. As a shop owner I cannot improve my business unless I hear from the customers. It seems some customers are afraid to let me know when they are unhappy with work we have provided. I find this strange because when I am personally unhappy with something, I go back and get it done right. I expect this from my customers as well. Don't badmouth us if you haven't given us a chance to make things right.

after trading my teggy for this EJ8 Coupe, i'd probably never go to collective if i were living in tucson.

You guys dropped a D16y8 in a green coupe a while back and let me just say, WOW. Nothing was torqued down, shit the upper driverside mount want hand tight and the bottom mount near the AC Compressor was just dangling there with not bolts or nut holding it on, The T bracket is missing a bolt and the wiring was a mess. I know i spoke with someone there not too long ago and he didnt seem to concerened with the issues that the car was having. I couldnt trust a shop that shows no concern when it comes to issues like the ones that this car had.

I know you guys had nothing to do with it overheating, the previous owners friend that attempted to put in ARP head studs in, is FULLY to blame for that.

I've heard great things about you guys but after getting this car it made me think twice about your credibility.

first of all i can guarantee that nothing on this car was left loose when it left my shop. As far as the wiring issues the harness was NEVER touched by us ( i should know i do the wiring). the previous owner had the car worked on by other people and my tech personally watch them work on it.

As I said before, I don't want this to become an issue. I mean on a personal level. I am not calling him out, I am just saying that if you are going to find fault, get the facts correct first. If I have done wrong, then give me a chance to make it correct. Don't just blame me for bad work if you don't even know who worked on it in the first place. It is easy for anyone to use our name as a selling point... "Collective worked on the car"; or they can use that very same statement to pass the blame for something not going right. I wish I had a dime for everything someone calimed I personally messed up on a car I've never even had in my shop. I am sure every shop in this industry can relate... The bottom line is that sometimes we do make mistakes. Sometimes we take to long. Sometimes nothing we do will be right in the customers eyes. However, we do try our best always.

I've told Scott in other thread that i've heard good things about his shop and that i'd give him my business if i lived down there. but after getting the car in the condition i did and torn back and forth between the previous owner and Collective about its condition maybe i did assume wrong about the shop maybe i didnt. i probably will never know the truth about what really went on with that car, but everyday its something new, thats all i got to say

As I said before, I don't want this to become an issue. I mean on a personal level. I am not calling him out, I am just saying that if you are going to find fault, get the facts correct first. If I have done wrong, then give me a chance to make it correct. Don't just blame me for bad work if you don't even know who worked on it in the first place. It is easy for anyone to use our name as a selling point... "Collective worked on the car"; or they can use that very same statement to pass the blame for something not going right. I wish I had a dime for everything someone calimed I personally messed up on a car I've never even had in my shop. I am sure every shop in this industry can relate... The bottom line is that sometimes we do make mistakes. Sometimes we take to long. Sometimes nothing we do will be right in the customers eyes. However, we do try our best always.

Ahh man... I totally understand how you feel. NOBODY likes to get the shaft on something. Brett is a really cool kid, but that car came from Texas with so many issues, it was sad. That is why he bought the teg. The whole car seemed to be falling apart and we were only told to remove the blown engine (that had already been swapped in there) with a used replacement. That was it. It is unfortunate that the car had so many "expert mechanics" work on it after it left us. We also told him that the disk conversion needed work bad, but they refused that bill.

Like I said before, this is not a personal issue between you and I. I honestly feel bad that you ended up with that car now, but try to understand our perspective on it as well. If I could help you, I am willing to do so, just say the word. Unfortunately I cannot warrantee anything I didn't do. I hope you understand.

It would have been really cool if Brett had just been honest about it during the sale.

I hurt my H22 engine right before IFO. We had just changed the set up to H2B. I only got the car to the dyno when it dropped a valve. I have been kinda depressed about it so I have let the car sit for a while now and focused on customer projects. The last couple days were slow so I told the guys to pull the H22 and tear the head off so I can fix the damn thing. I was home sick at the time I told them what to do and Blair said "don't worry... it will be running by 6 P.M." All I could think was that I was gonna have to kill someone... Well, I showed up at the shop to this. Believe it or not, for $40 worth of parts I had to buy, the rest of parts grabbed from miscellaneous stuff around the shop, they came up with this. It runs and fast too... Atleast I can take something to the track while I am fixing my H22 THAT WILL BE RETURNED TO IT'S HOME. UNDERSTAND ME BLAIR... INCH???
