ok so as many of you know i have had a Del sol and i was making payments on it
someone came by my house (not gonna say who) but he basically said that he was gonna get it for sure, so i closed my for sale thread and waited until everything with the bank went through but today i recieved a txt saying he coudlnt do it
so my question is will i get shit from the bank or MVD if i have the car sitting and not insured?
reason being that if no one is gonna buy it im gonna turn it into a project

well their still under my name but since the car is not turning on
(needs ignition) and im swampped on bills will i get my ass chewed out for not having it on insurance?

if you have a lien on it you need insurance. if it's parked on a public street, you need a tag or it'll get towed

x2 if the bank still owns the car you have to have insurance. They probably already know it's been cancelled, depending on how long it's been. They can add their own, charge you an extra fee and a penalty depending on the contract

no one answered your question you got to go to the dmv an tell them your not goin to drive it kuz they knw when you dont an they will suspend your license behind your back whether you driving it or not so you gotta go to the insurance place an telll them you need the insurance for a parked car its only 15 bucks a month an u kant move it or anything the insurance is just in case a tree falls on it or something happens while is parked i have a car parked right now tell you from experience

If its on the road you need insurance, if its just sitting its up to you unless you have a lien on the car in which case you would need to have insurance either way.

^ go 2 posts up. If you're not driving it but the bank owns it, you can get "parked insurance" and it's so cheap it's ridiculous. This satisfies everyone. May be dependent on your particular bank but most banks are ok with stored-insurance.
