Can we please have a engine building/transmission forum?

I know we have a All motor forum already, but It'll be cool if we can gather all the non rice engine info and actually be able to find it.

Stickies can be:

How to measure crank/rods for bearings

Correct torque patterns

so and so.

Exactly, I have added a couple good postings in the turbo tech section but you are right, they need to have more tech stuff and make them stickies. Everytime I want to get some tech advice I have to hit up Honda Tech for it.

Exactly. We just need to get it to the attention of a MOD.

BUMP. great idea homie, it would be cool to have a legit tech forum with strict posting rules so we dont get a bunch of poop dick posts and sarcastic remarks when you actually need help.

Even they don't have an engine building forum.

I want something specific with lots of specs, part numbers, how to's etc. etc.

The good stuff to actually help people and bring tech in here.

Looking at most of the Forums on here AZHT Lounge aka Drama central is the second biggest next to the classifieds. :(

and just who is going to do all the work of typing the tech, and verifing the posted info is accurate? it sounds great, but moderating that type of sub-forum would be a nightmare. I would forsee lots of drama/arguing/misinfo.

go buy a factory service manual, thats accurate.

There is no factory service manual for doing lsvtec.

I think we should give it a try.

Why dont you just buy a cheap book. it will have everything in there that you'll need to make things happen...

now someone has to enter all the book info on the site?

How about the people that ask dumb questions on any tech section be deleted? or ones that are asked over and over and over again.

I guess when you look at it that way, but one question, do you know which is the correct head gasket for lsvtec? B16 head

good now we can clearly identify the hacked up excuses for "rebult" motors, the ones that this site is notorious for. that way if they make an engine build thread we can see them before we waste our money. dop3
