We start EARLY and are done before the heat of the day kicks in (< 100F). Historically we have only ran on Saturday for our Summer events, but this year we will run BOTH Sat & Sun so that we can host a points event for the Race group. Both days, the 1st car will hit the track at 6AM and we'll be done by 10:30AM.

This format has worked extremely well in the past and typically is a sell out event. Register early to ensure you do not miss out on these quick events as well as to take advantage of the discounted rates. Prices go up as the event day approaches.

Reading up on all these events it gives me the real urge to go out and try it out but I really have no idea how this all works and, My question is do I have to run HPDE1 class if I have never been to one of these events? Can I also have a link to the official rules for the cars.

Yes. HPDE1 is the correct group for you if you've never been out before.

I did my first event summer of 2007. IMO, doing a summer event as your first event is the best. The day goes by quick and the cost isn't as high.

And if HDPE1 will be done by 11 at the latest on saturday, I can even make it to work afterward, so long as I don't break anything.

As long as they are installed safely you'll be fine!

Keep in mind, SAFETY EQUIPMENT will be checked. I suggest reading the rules to make sure that any aftermarket SAFETY equipment will pass tech!!

I see you're located here in metro Phoenix. It wouldn't hurt to call UMS Tuning and schedule a pre-tech inspection with Jeremy to make sure. Nothing worse that getting ready, waking up early, and then getting turned away because your flux capacitor wouldn't pass tech or your blinker fluid was too low.

Be sure that you're oil is topped off (along with your brake, clutch, and PS fluid. Coolant too). Wouldn't hurt to bring an extra quart of motor oil just in case you start to burn a little.

and as far as coolant im running straight water in the car. So im gonna pick up some water wetter. I have a full size koyo and 14' slim fan. PS is gone and so will be my arms I assume by the end of the day.

but I signed up for both days cuz I know I should be good enuf to make it to hpde 2 after a day of level 1

205/50/15 shaved Kumho XS
I ran these for Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow. They have very few miles on them, used exclusively on the track (no street miles), these tire can take a TON of heat before they fall off (much more than the Azenis or Star Spec).

I don't think that dude in the 08+ Si coupe is on here, but I think the black integra coupe guy is. Introduce yourself so we can put a face w/ a screenname

Ahmed: hope to see you out there again soon dude. :( Sorry about your bad luck on Sunday. We better watch out, this dude is gonna be good with a little more seat time. Easily one of the best, if not the best, first weekend HPDE students that I've ever rode with.

How bout Tage setting 2 track records! Congrats dude. The Accord = the M1A1 Abrams track tank....takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Sub 1 minute laps in Casper is just nuts! :shocked:

Eric: what did you have for breakfast this weekend bro??? You knocked like a half second off your time for like 4 consecutive sessions! I guess I'm going to have to eat my Wheaties for the August event and come out blazing if want to beat you in TTC. :guns:
