nothing. Now it depends where your getting the protein from. If your taking a shake, your taking in calories and yes that will go to fat. Also the protein comes from your pocket :P don't go broke on it.

no it doesn/t im taking in around 400-500 grams a day in protein wish I could cram more down, but I am barely handling that at the moment. More protein the merrier!

a while back when i used to excercise more i used to take protein shakes and it helped me build muscle, but then i stopped excercising and kept drinking the shakes lol and now i have a gut.

not sure if that's because of having too much protein or not enough excercise or other unknown reasons but that's from my experience lol.

110-120 from shakes, or from whole foods, or both? If both, try to bump it up to 150-200 grams. 50 grams isnt going to make you fat. When i used to be really into working out i was supplementing 180-220 grams a day, and 4000-5000 calories on average a day, was not gaining an ounce of fat. As your muscle mass increases, your body needs more food to sustain its current mass. So don't wory about it! Also try to keep it to whole foods not shakes.

If your stuck on shakes, make sure your daily shakes are casein, or egg based, as it will process slower than just a pure whey (cycles thru your system very quickly). I used to sip on a casein shake w/ about 50 grams from 8am till 10-11 am, to supplement a slow protein intake until i had my lunch for the day. More constant, slow intake of protein is more important over the day, than a HUGE rush of whey when your not actually working out (lots of whey is great post/pre workout, but not at idle its mostly a waste of money).
