I would still take the Lexus.

GTR is about supercar value, LFA is about owning a piece of rare, limited production, "Halo" car history.

People who bought a LFA, probably did not even glance at a GTR, different car, different purpose.

I laugh when I hear all the reviewers complain about the price tag of the LFA, but value for dollar is not what those cars are about. This is the first supercar from Toyota/Lexus, and there are only 550 examples. People who bought the LFA bought it because it is an investment, and they will never see another one for the most part. Exclusivity and rarity carry a price tag.

They did not, they lost money on every car supposedly. It is the same as the Ford GT. Look at what those sell for, I see them all the time listed for what the MSRP was when new, or more.

Ferrari Enzos were 660k new, now they are around 1mil.

The LFA is 400k or whatever now, but in a couple years they will change hands for more. Its a time proven formula, make a car that is a technical showpeice, limit production, and it will grow in value.

Agreed. The enzo is a fine example.

They also only made like 50 Nurburgring track models too

PEOPLE ITS NOT ABOUT THE COST OR OTHER CARS LIKE IT! ITS THE FIST LEXUS/TOYOTA SUPERCAR!!!

its like owning a matching numbers hemi cuda! how much did they cost when they first came out? how much do they go for now?

the only real weird move i see about this car is that the people are forced to take a 2 year lease with intent to buy at the end of the lease. i mean wtf? forced to lease? here's my cash bitch now gimme my car.

Hopefully Top Gear will do a 'real' eval (a race involving a turn or two) next season...
