After getting my lip kit this is what happens. :/

So i just installed my front and rear lips last Friday. So I got to my mom's house in the evening to hang out. Then a few hours later my step dad comes into the house and says did you do anything to your front bumper? I said yeah I put on a front lip and then he said well something looks wrong because the bumper is on the floor. I was like WTF!? So i got out and i see my see that my front bumper is indeed on the floor. Then went to the car and this is what i found: :pout:

Somebody tried to jack my dam bumper!!!! At first I thought it got hit but nothing was dented. Then I saw that the holes that go under the radiator cover to hold the bumper were broken and so are the tabs that hold the bumper on the side with a screw. So someone or more than two people tried to put the whole bumper but couldn't because of the screws and nuts that are on the underside splash guard. There's also some damage to the side of the HFP lip where the screws go like they tried to unscrew the lip but there isn't much room for a phillips screwdriver unless the wheels are turned. Police was called but they couldn't do anything only file the report. Going to be calling insurance tomorrow. Looks like i'll be vsiting finishline for some repairs.

Do you guys think it wil be better to replace the bumper and lip or have the bumper repaired? The mounting tabs on the bumper are broken.

Yeah we'll see. Maybe its just better and cheaper to get it repaired on my own than going with the insurance. The stock bumper has a invisible bra so I don't know if that would be covered by my insurance.

Honestly I wouldn't run it through your insurance. Not unless you have a 250 deductible. Either way you still incurred quite a bit of damage between a new front bumper, paint, and a clear bra but it's still under 1,000

Naw my deductible is 500. So yeah i'll just be repairing out of my pocket. Hopefully the mounting poits can be fixed with the plastic welding technique, i think that's what it's called, and I won't have to buy a new bumper.
