i recently bought a 2010 si sedan and i was thinking later on i would possibly get a brain cower stroker kit and bring it up to a 2.3L and add a Jackson racing supercharger and was wondering if the out come would be worth the money let me know

First off, congrats with your new purchase.

To answer your question, I don't think the stroker kit is going to be worth the time and money, especially if you are just going to supercharge the vehicle. Now that Flashpro is out, it is so easy (but NOT cheap) to make 350+ whp with a Full Race or other quality kit. As the 06+ section is a little traffic light, I suggest you go check out 8thcivic.com, under the FI section specifically.

While I don't have a supercharger myself, I have never read of anyone with SC pushing past 315whp, and that is with a LOT of mods.

I'd start here and check out the results from other projects. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/forced-induction-nitrous/

Good luck.

If you are just looking for a small addition of power, I would go with a Greddy kit. You can pick up a used kit for around $2,000 quite often, as a lot of people have gotten tired of sub 300 whp and are wanting to upgrade to a better kit.

Right now I have the Greddy kit, I have larger injectors, aftermarket fuel pump, and some exhaust work and I am sitting at 277whp and 251wtq. I really need to get Flashpro and 1000cc injectors, Once I have that I should be around 300whp. Even with all that it's still cheaper then a Full Race kit. Of course, if I could do it all over again I would have just waited a year for Flashpro to come out and get a better kit. But I am not going to waste time and money taking off the kit, trying to sell it, and drop another 8k into the car. Right now after 4,500 rpm's I spin through 3rd gear, so I personally don't see the draw with 400+ whp si's.

Plus, if you do get the Greddy kit, you can always upgrade the turbo later on as long as you get Flashpro, although the log mani is quite restrictive. Fullrace has a upgrade just the RSX kits as well.

that sounds good i like that that but i don't know if i want to go to that much power right now cuz i do have a tendency to get pulled over all ready and i would like to keep some gas mileage for now like i said i would love a si with that much power just right now i dont need that much but im gunna look into that is that a reliable power or do you have to replace parts really quick

It's very reliable, and as long as you don't get into boost it does not affect your MPG as all. I have been boosted for about 16 months and the only issue I have had is my oil line got loose. Took 5 minutes to fix. However, to be truthful, it's not my DD and I have only put maybe 5,000 miles on the car in that time.

Most member's on 8thcivic have not had many problems with the Greddy kit. Usually people run into trouble when they upgrade the turbo, which sometimes causes the mani to crack (the greddy mani is not that strong).

If you know that you will will be more then happy with 300 whp or less, I suggest going with that kit. Stay away from the TSI kit, as it's garbage and many parts will have to be changed out.

If you think you will get bored with 250whp to 300whp, just go Full Race or SRT from the get go.
