Receiver Question

What is a good receiver? I have a 'wal-mart special' and I don't know what to go with. (Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, ETC)

Alpine is good 'consumer' gear, for the high end try Eclipse, McIntosh, Alpine F1, Denon, Nakamichi...Clarion even made a couple of real nice decks.

I have never liked normal alpine decks, but love the highend. Kenwood and pioneer have great decks for normal use.

Pioneer is the best
