FYI replacing 01-02 Civic key -- called Showcase $45. WalMart can do 01-02 so far for $35. programming included.

Just thought I would pass it along as I only received one key with my car.

Did you have more then 1 key when you got it replaced? If you have 2 keys then I don't think it is all that difficult.

Just the one key. He put it into a machine - read it - put in the blank to program it - then cut it traditionally on the key machine.

the only problem i have seen with the aftermarket keys is they can lose the program or sometimes cause an intermittant no start issue. they may be cheaper but might not work as well as a factory honda key.

from the looks of your avatar, you wouldn't be allowed in that section even if they did have it...

So true. Either a crooked employee, or someone who goes in late when the automotive dept. is deserted...

You gotta go to a lock smith, walmart ( as far as i know) dont have the immobalizers because my 98 accord needed a key n they couldn't make it for me. Just go to a lock smith n get it done right.

McKellips and Greenfield in Mesa is where I had mine done. I am old school Honda and forgot all about immobilizers until the guy scanned my key and told me it was chipped.
