will these work?

my friend is selling me these wheels for a good price, i do like the look of them. There Motegi sp10
18x8 40 offset.My car is stock and im planning on dropping it a inch so My question is would these fit my S without any problems after i drop it? would they stick out? im a noob to the whole stagger fitment. Any advice you can give me. thanx in advance

May have some fitment issues in the front...

But fitment aside, you are taking a big step back in performance with only 215 rubber all around.
This car is balanced really well, but this tire setup will ruin that. You will get oversteer....and you will get it a lot sooner than a stock S2k will.

I think 215 is too narrow for the fronts, let alone the rears.

Correction the tires are 225/40/18, damn liar anyhow. Would I need wider tires or shorter tires in front

225/40/18 is a typical front tire size for those running 18's, no issue at all with width or diameter. Ideally you would want a 255/35/18 for the rear to keep a staggered setup, but that is pushing the limits of a 8" wheel although it is possible. You could bolt them on as is to get an idea of how they look and fit. Be really careful if you are driving around on 225's all around, it will be very prone to oversteer. If you lower the car you will probably need either a fender roll, especially watch the fender liner tabs in the front, or dial in extra negative camber.

They should fit. I have a set of 18x7.5 with a 225 40. And they fit fine on his s2k. But try and see.
