I have a fresh D16Y8 head I got from a friend. All its missing is the valve train (springs, retainers, valves) the rest of the internals are there. So my question is are the valves the same from a d15 to a d16. On the Skunk2 web site they sell the same valves for d16 and d15, but I wasn't to sure if that was only for vtec hince the jdm d15 came vtec.

Honda's part numbers are alittle different, im not sure if the middle numbers, letter count.

Non vtec part numbers

Intake 14711-PM3-000
Exhaust 14721-PM3-000

Vtec part numbers

Intake 14711-P08-000
Exhaust 14721-P08-000

But it doesnt mean they wont work, you will prolly just need the correct valve stem install height done on them at your machine shop...Also, if your buying new ones, it would be a good idea to have a valve job done with new valves so they dont leak. Seals will be replaced too

^^ thanks for the knowledge man.

I replaced the seals already and I got it from a friend that had it machined and the guides were changed also. anyway I tried installing the valves with my new spring compressor and it looks like they are the exact same the only difference I noticed were the valve springs. I beleive the d16 have a higher spring rate or longer valve spring than the d15. So I will be ordering some new springs yay lol.
