i've been doing some reading and have read in a couple places that stretching in between sets is good then others say its bad. I have been reading about different ways of stretching. Usually when im working out if i bench after the 8-12 reps i get up and "shake it off" ill stretch a bit and get ready for the next set what is your opinion on this and which is the correct way to do it to get the most gains?

I always follow dc training's "extreme stretching". As soon as i am done working the muscle in question, I will stretch it. Works for me. This is one of the things that I attribute to helping me bring up my weak chest.
