purchising b series header

so im getting ready to get a cheap ebay header 2" pipeing , 4-2-1 for my b20, my question is
will this fit on a stock exhaust piping or will there need to be some welding? never had the full exhaust for the car so this is why im asking...

if its a hytech knockoff then yes, you will need a custom cat/midpipe connection

that one looks like it should bolt up to the factory cat..but it also looks like junk.

if you need to get it on the road, just run a stock header til you can get the good one. its WORTH it.

I used a ebay header for my h2b since I was going to cut and have it re-welded anyhow. I think for 30 bucks you really can't beat it. I'd say try it, what do you have to lose? 30 bucks?

I have an Ebay header. Fits great and makes good power and no cracking after over a year. 4-2-1 DC style ceramic header on they dyno it performs the same as a DC or Megan header and was $70. B18B1 stock motor with CAI, said header and 2.5 inch exhaust with stock 99 Si cat. Made 117whp and 116lbft before tuning. 133whp and 127lbft after S100 tuning. The "gain" numbers are after tuning. Baselines are the 2 at the bottom and with IHE already on the motor. A stock B18B1 puts down 105-107whp stock

I will agree that most Ebay headers are junk, it is very hit and miss. I got very lucky with this one. Others I have bought off ebay and was really impress with are Option Group headers.
