Not everybody is looking for huge power gains and there are a few NA mods that the car does respond decent too. Not to mention the headaches that come with a turbo in this kind of heat.

There's a small increase in pull, but it did help eliminate a lot of the drone and made the exhaust much louder

The N1 can be very annoying at cruising rpm, in fact for the first two weeks I thought about selling it, but I've had it for about two months now and I've gotten used to it. If you're looking for something subtle, the N1 is not for you. The Invidia Q300, however, is nice and quiet, but it is designed for low to mid range power gains, not high end power gains like the N1

Yesterday I picked up a slightly used OEM honda S2000 car cover for $130! woot!

Today I need to lower the rear about 0.05" for a little more Toe in to try out for AutoX tomorrow in Marana. set my rebound and compression for Race day. Wash and wax. Trial clean part of the soft top with some cleaner I have. Re-glue one of the patches on the top. Change Tranny Fluid if I have time to finish up my tranny flush. Trying GM Synchromesh Friction Modified. Regular Pennzoil Synchromesh seems a little notchy in the AM.

yesterday:
- Rolled front fenders myself - mainly just tabs- came out really well with no chips or cracks.
- tested front suspension travel and rim/255 tire fit without springs installed - not as much travel as I thought but 255s are fiting well
- Installed my 700lb springs to the front KW clubsports (were 550).

Still need to install new 650lbs springs to the rear and test suspension travel and then of course align car.

Then I'll be ready for the next AutoX this weekend with my 255 square setup.

Yeah its annoying... they painted areas they were not supposed to paint, somehow forgot they were blending half way... shop talked to the painter and is re-doing it all for free. + to the shop for being nice, painting extras for free, and even re-doing my headlights for free... i just miss my car... between that & the shipping problems with shine auto I've been without a car for 6 out of the last 8 weeks... -.-

But i have faith the shop will get the blend right... And because of the mistake someone made they had to paint over half the car to "blend" my bumper. At least the paint damage on my door & hood will now be fixed... lol so no complaints in the end!

i got off the phone with my buddys shop earlier today, and they are a REALLY good shop, and they tried over and over for 2 weeks to get my paint to match on my front bumper but they still couldnt match it perfectly :( i guess i'll see tomorrow

modded my stock intake. Removed unneeded sound resonator and some other material. Made a 2" snorkle to the fender using a couple 90deg plastic pipe couplers. New AFE air filter is in the Mail.

I tried to get all the pcs in the shot so I didn't have to explain much. Easy mod to do. The couplers cost me like $8 from Home Depot. A tube of Automotive Goop for sealing up the connections. Dremel tool with roto zip bit to cut some of the stuff and a regular old school hack saw as well. AFE filter is $85 shipped from Amazon.com.

Basically $100/CAI/icebox. The pipe size could be increased to 2.5" but I couldn't find that size at Home Depot. 3" was too big I think.

The Carbon fiber plate is the AUT knockoff of the BYS plate so that was $140. So basically you are looking at a $240 setup that I believe will function just as well as most of the others out there if not better.

I left the OEM radiator shrowd in place b/c I think removing that is not a good idea and it's actually not legal for SCCA STR classing. There are enough slits in that shroud to let air into the intake duct anyways.

The motor sounds better but not too loud. especially not AEM loud.

The next logical steps are adding heat reflective material and also to replace the OEM pipe with a smooth pipe but that would increase motor noise. I'm working on sourcing something cheaper than the HPS slicone tube. It will likely have a 90deg bend in it though to increase the tube length to gain some low end torque. I'll be trying to pc something together for under $100 for that tube but it might be a while before I get that done. I need some other things first.

I was going to just to be a smart ass, but Robert locked the thread down until you pay membership.

The fact of the matter is that the majority of S2k seats fs or in other cars are STOLEN. That's just how it is. We as S2000 owners are very protective as this is a serious issue. I see S2k seats in Civics at the Pavs and I wonder if they are my old seats that were stolen out of my other S2000. It makes me angry when I start to think about it.

For sure. Lots of people use AutoX for that reason. More S2000s should come out, especially the people that think they can drive fast anytime, anywhere.. .

The reason you likely saw S2000s running slicks back then was b/c there wasn't a street tire friendly class for them to compete in but now there is. It's STR. Not all the typical tuner mods are allowed but most bolt-ons are. No no mods after the throttle body. No aftermarket flywheel. no none OEM replacement body panels. If you'r car isn't a CR model, you can't run a hard top unless you own an 08 and basically make it into a CR.

The progression of the S2000 is BS to STR to BSP to SSM to XP

B stock to Extreme mod class where you would go up against $100,000 + purpose built carbon bodied Lotus and RX7s.

I don't remember what class i was running but it was proably BS class. When I ran my Civic HB I was in STS I believe. What class do you run in? Also when is the next event? I'd like to make it out there and check out the seen out here in PHX. I don't have my S2K anymore but I am thinking of getting into track racing. I was talking to this guy who is going to the honda challenge in march so i'll most likely make it out for that.

As for the carbon bodied Lotus I think I saw him for the first time back in 2008 for the Championship Finals in San Diego at Qualccom Stadium. I believe his Lotus was mostly bare CF body with green and a retardedly huge wing but it must have worked because he had the fastest time of the day besides the go-carts.

I have an NRG quick release (not the short version) and a momo hub, with a Mugen II wheel and I'd estimate maybe 1.5" closer.

Between that and my Buddy Club seat @ its lowest/farthest back position, it creates a great seating position and wheel position for me.

Didn't fit the greatest until I got the seat. Now it's awesome, ok it was awesome before but now it's better lol
