Go to walmart, go to the detail section. Find waxes, search out one that says waxes car and removes scratches. I just picked up some the other day. I got mothers, but I'm usually a meguiers kinda guy.

Meguiers is the only thing I use. Their Hi-tec wax gives you a super glossy finish. But I would just use the basic Meguiers wax cleaner for now since you have those scratches, then use some Meguiers spray on wax to finish with a high gloss.

instead of starting a new thread....

wax by hand or with an electric buffer?

i've bee meaning to wax my car but it takes forever by hand... is this the only safe method to waxing?... applying the wax is easy, but removing is a royal pain in the arm... any one have some input on proper and time saving techniques?

If it is hard to remove, you are probably putting too much on! A little goes a long way.

What wax are you using?

Put less on!

Some wax's are a bit harder to get off regardless, but if you really cake it on, its a bitch.

The Hi-tech yellow wax, by meguires is good stuff, and comes off easy when used correctly.

I do it by hand, and it isn't that big of a deal.

hmm... i'll definitely go with a small application then. that seems to be the issue, where it's light it comes off easy but where it's caked on it suck to remove.
