Does that location have a pit? I recall them sending me elsewhere (Campus Alignment) that has a pit, rather than ramps, to get the car seated on the alignment rack.

Alot of corporate places won't do race alignments either. What alignment specs did you give them?

-2.5 front Camber, -2.0 rear Camber
0 Toe all around
Tech even asked what about caster which shocked me...

I have adjustable pieces all over.....NO ISSUES...

Sooo. No matter how low ur car is they can still do the alignment :

SlowCivicHmm
11-15-2011, 02:38 AM
I'm pretty low but it is a race car vs a slammed Honda....reason it's in this section ..

If it fits on a hunter rack and it's adjustable they'll alignn it........custom specs too.....

Test drives are pretty normal for alignments. Abuse, not so much. ALWAYS specify that it is not ok to test drive the car; Tell them it's ONLY ok to pull on & off the alignment rack.

Vtec is at 6k and is obvious when it engages... No reason to be that high in 3rd on a test drive... Thats like 70mph

Was researching the longacre toe plates before, seem to be the best deal. You use anything under the tires? Garbage bags with grease between them?

is this still a current deal? not liking the wear I'm getting on my tires and might as well invest in this if i can

I used to work at firestone. You still get paid for the lifetime alignments, just not as much. When i was there an alignment paid 1.2hrs a lifetime redo paid .7hrs.

Lol went to the Firestone on 99th Ave. & Lower Buckeye, dude stalls my car twice, gets out and tells me
Tech:"Dude, your clutch is garbage"
Me:"Yeah? its a brand new 4 puck, and it felt just fine on the way up here"
Tech:"A what puck?"
Me:"Its a stage-5 racecar clutch"
Tech:"Ah what? Why did you put a high performance clutch on this thing? It looks stock"
Me:"Do you need me to move it for you?" :]
Tech:"You should get that thing checked out man"

But that lifetime alignment sure has saved me a ton of $$.. I usually take my car in every 6 months or so, just to get checked
I use a firestone where a track freak works, so he lets me go back there and adjust it with him :)
Where do you go? Who do I need to talk to?
