I see this question asked all the time. I figure I'd just post it up so people can stop making threads about it. I did not write these.

I have found that trying to follow the spread out information on this subject very frustrating. So this is going to be my attempt to organize it.

First off what is needed:

S2000 Cluster

Wire pig tales for S2000 cluster

Modifry AP2 stock ECT converter
http://www.modifry.com/products/ect/ap2.htm

Speedohealer V4 universal
http://www.pashnit.com/

The wiring is pretty straight forward. First off label the factory EG cluster wires. You will only use the top two plugs in the diagram A and B plugs. You will also use the E plug if you have airbags.

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m139/kjmride/civiccluster1.jpg

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m139/kjmride/Civiccluster2.jpg

After that I labeled the S2000 cluster. There are a lot of pins that you don't use. I just unpinned the extra pins from the plugs so there was less clutter.

White to B2 on EG cluster plugs

---------------------------------Other Notes----------------------------------------

Connect A3 and A10 both White/Red on S2000 cluster to a hot all the time 12V source. You will have to find one I used the hot wire at the clock in the dash just because it was right there.

You also have to connect B20 Blue/Red on the S2000 cluster to ground to turn off the ABS light.

This cluster completely works in my car so all wires are tested and verified. The only problem I see is if I typed something wrong.

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m139/kjmride/IMG_0293.jpg

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m139/kjmride/IMG_0295.jpg

I noticed my fuel gauge was not very accurate today so I looked up the sending unit specs. Here is what I got.

S2000
Float Position------------Full------------1/2------------low------------Empty
Resistance--------------11-13----------52-58---------114-120--------130-132
Ohms

Honda Civic DX
Float Position----------Full-----------------Half-------------------Empty
Resistance-----------2-5--------------------25-39-----------------105-110
Ohms

I added a 25 ohm resistor inline to the sending unit and it brought the gauge to a more accurate reading. As you can see by the numbers you can not get it perfect but 25 ohms (actually I was at 23.5 didn't have a 25 ohm resistor so I had to make one) gets it close.

ok...i bought this cluster a long time ago and was gonna put it in my ej. anyways, i have since sold the ej and now have had an eg hatch for about 10 months. i havent had time to really do anything to the car but i saw this cluster in a box and thought...hmmmm i should use this.
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00144.jpg
this is what it looked like when i got it. some dude sold it to me for 170 shipped from cali with the harnesses
as most of you know, mark lamond is the utmost authority when it comes to s2000 clusters. he was among the first to deal with the speedometer and ECT issues. i used his wiring diagrams to make my conversion harness. i tried emailing him several times to see if he would do the conversions for me but just gave up after receiving no replys. after some research, i figured out what i needed to do.
because i was going to swap this cluster to the next honda i buy, i wanted to make sure my conversion harness was as clean as possible. that, and i can get ahold or radio harnesses stupid cheap because of my employee discount. what would cost someone 90 bucks on ebay i got for a little over 8. heres what they look like:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00145.jpg
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00146.jpg
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00147.jpg
notice i was able to purchase both male and female radio wiring harnesses. i chose these three harnesses because they had the exact pin count i was looking for. its and 70-1720,70-1721,17-1771 (i believe) metra part numbers. i chose 3 different harnesses just so that i wouldnt mistake one for another.
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00148.jpg
mark lamonds wiring diagrams
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00151.jpg
he clearly states which pins and colors you are looking for when doing the conversion. cool thing is that the s2000 cluster has like 60 pins but your eg will only have 20 or so. lots of wires from the s2000 cluster are not used. basically im waiting for my speedohealer, gear indicator, and ECT conversion pieces so while they are on order im going to show you my conversion harness overkill project.
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00152.jpg
soldering the wires. unfortunately i didnt have heat shrink that would shrink enough to the smallest gauge wires, so i had to use electrical tape. not my favorite but its works.
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00153.jpg
almost done soldering
more to come on next post......

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00155.jpg
here it is soldered and taped. i had to write down the pin outs and colors before i made the harness "pretty".
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00156.jpg
figured i might as well test this bitch before i go any further
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00157.jpg
here i am writing down pinouts and wire colors on labels from work that are sticky. i had to highlight all the wiring i needed so i didnt get confused. this took longer than it should have IMO.
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00158.jpg
almost done labeling.
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00159.jpg
after i finished the labeling. NOW i can finally make this thing look decent.
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j84/rattmann316/IMG00160.jpg
done

stay tuned for updates....im getting the other parts shortly.
