ok so i got a head that was completely disassembled none of the valves were in it nor were they marked. so putting them back in is a crap shoot. will they seat with enough valve lapping assuming they are not in their original spots? or should i invest in another head? its just a ls head so its not too expensive. i poured water in the intake ports to see if i get water to come out and all of them leaked, some of them took a good 20 or 30 seconds to leak.

what should i do keep grinding? or ditch the head

I'd have a good 3 angle valve job done, then lap them in their positions. Technically I guess you COULD lap them in as is EVENTUALLY, but chances are that we're gonna have a new president before you get them all to seal.
