OK so here's the " situation" i'm in. there's a transmission over 100 miles away. only 1 ive found so far. so i need to either talk this guy into sending me photos so i can post.< not likely since he isn't guaranteed a buyer for all that work. or drive there and open it up my self and take a look my self. < most likely. does any one have pictures of what i should be looking for? so that if i were to find the trans in this condition i would know what the repair might cost??

Dood this is a transmission, if YOU dont know what your looking at, its gonna be hard for us to explain. You have to look at the "dog houses" on the synchro and gear to see if the "roof" is worn down.

Also anything abnormal to the gear set and change selector.

We got a used trans for a k-swap 6 speed type s and he sent me pics, everything looked great but when installed, it would pop out of 6th on part throttle. Thats just the risk you take, luckily we know how to work on transmissions so it wasnt a big deal.
