98' Civic ex.
Car starts dies instantly.
I have
Fuel
main relay makes the 3 clicks
Air
and a very weak spark.

I've checked the ground on the thermostat housing and it sparks (i've never seen this)

Any suggestions?

Is the bolt tight that's holding that ground to the thermostat housing??

Also, do your dash lights stay on when the key is in the II (ON) Position?? could be your ignition switch...

Poor spark could mean your ignitor is bad as well, or even your coil...it's really hard to tell...

That bolt is tight on the thermo housing
The lights stay on there is no cell
I was thinking coil or icm my self

Coil's resistance is

Terminal A to the Secondary Terminal
16.39 ohms

Terminal A to B (this one will spike at 24.0.. than settle)
03.2 ohms

There is continuity between the icm and the dizzy housing
and when key to on
there is battery voltage at the icm blk/yel wire and wht/blu wire

An the whole car shocks you
ie if you touch the door locks or the weather stripping where the metal is exposed you get shocked.

i just had the same problem and it was my ground cables.

Which Ground cables?
I've suspected the same but I can't track down the bad ground and I don't wanna ghetto it and start adding grounds.

well there is the one that goes to thermostat houseing, radiator core support to valve cover, and chasie to tranny, and the battery termanal ground. also check your tps sensor, and map. oh when you take of the bolts grind of the paint and cleen it up

Sure. Disconnect electrical components until the short is found

The problem is the Crank Angle Sensor.
