so instead of building the B16a i have in the EF, I would rather just get an H22 and save myself the hassle and extra money. Question is, whats the difference between the B-series mounts and H-series, and how much am I going to have to modify. I'm searching google right now trying to find all the spec info I will need, but have not come across anything on the mounts yet, I've only found the info on it being taller and i'll need a new hood or full front end conversion to the SiR, and that the cross member may need to be cut some, both of which I had already known.

Anyways, if anybody has any info/instruction/comments/whatever, feel free to share.

Also would like to get some opinions on the idea for the swap overall, I mean I love the B16 but its just not too powerful without quite a bit of money and work put into it. I figure with the H22 that I can get in it and that it will keep me content till I can afford to buy something decent.

oh damn. gonna have to find that thread.

but yeah, i know. those things are pretty damn nice, and only cost about $2k for the full swap from HMO. There's also one up on Craigslist that wants trade for a b16 lol.

dont do it. its not really worth it in my opinion. you could turbo a stock internal b16 and make more power and you wouldnt have to cut your car up at all. the mount kit is expensive, the axles are expensive. unless you are really set on the h22 i wouldnt do it.
if you do decide to do it there is a mount kit the provides enough clearance for the hood. they are in the car i helped put a h22 into pm me tomorrow and ill find out for you. im spacing the brand it right now

hmm, thanks for the info. I'm not so dead set in it right yet just for the fact I dont have the money to drop on the motor or another car to get around while the work gets done, I just think it would definitely be pretty beastly once its done with some internals and ITBs or boost. Might be something to do to an EG coupe instead though since I plan on building one on the side and just use the EF as a DD.

I have done several H22 into EF chasis... Are they decently quick stock and worth the hassle? I've always been curious of this myself.

This sounds like a badass swap. Hood part might be lame though. Hood spacers may help?

You don't need hood spacers with the innovative mount kit. You have lots of banging in the frame to make room for the alternator pully, intake manifold and cut and box the passenger side of the frame for tranny clearance. You need a traction bar. either use a cable to hydro conversion kit or figure a way to run a hydro setup. The fuel system is use a 90_93 accord fuel rail or go custom. Use a accord ex throttle cable. cut a hole for shifter cables.

We didn't have to use hood spacers for th Hasport kits either.

I highly recomend the Hush22 cable to hydro conversion kit when doing this.
