I have spent a large amount of time going through my 2000 civic ex coupe and preparing it for Auto-x. (Suspension, restoring the old dried bushings, wheels and tires, maintenance for the d16y8). I wanted to get some beginner track time in. I have no idea where or who to speak with about track events. Pricing, etc.

My question is, how can I get started into auto-x on the weekends? I have been waiting for this for years. And after I have done plenty of work on my car, I figured its time to start getting into. Any info is appreciated :)

Visit here www.azsolo.com

Next Auto-X event is November 13th.

A really good resource for gaining a lot of experience and knowledge about this sport, is to visit our Driving School on Dec.3rd (CLICK ME (http://www.azsolo.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11228))

It's really inexpensive and is 10x more useful then any part you can buy. Being completely honest. You can PM me with questions, I'm always checking this site.

If you're able to show up on Nov. 13th and we haven't talked by then, you can always come visit and ask questions. Best thing you can do at an event is ask questions. We're always available. Hope to see you out. It's a lot of fun.

An SCCA member is a registered member here Solo (http://www.scca.com/solo/)

It's good for saving you money at events and then they have club discounts with select companies. It'll also save you from filling out some paperwork each event. Has to be renewed every year.

If you can, it's definitely worth it to drive at the Nov. 13th event. The sooner you get behind the wheel the better. Seat time. Seat time. Seat time. :drive:

Good to know! I should go Helmet shopping pretty soon here. The head protection has to be certified correct?

Yes Snell approved. We also have loaner helmets at every event. So if you can't afford one, don't worry about it. They're free to borrow.
