I have my tranny out of the car at the moment and it is grimy as a mofo! Any one know an effective method to get it all cleaned up?

Just spray and scrub or what?
Do i need to mask any holes?

Generally trannys love thier backside washed, I hear. You should not mask any holes you want to use later.
