Some of you guys might like this, i have been working on it for about a year now as money comes in. I built it from the ground up and its a lot cheaper then buying a kit. all together i have maybe 5k into the build.

i built the frame out of 3 inch square .120 wall tube, and 2 inch .120 wall square.
the slides roll on 1/4 inch cold rolled. and the grates are sheered 16 gauge.

I used the slides and gears from www.cncroutherparts.com
its a rack and pinon set up with a belt drive reduction.
for the z i used linear slides from imsrv.com

for electronics i used www.candcnc.com package with DTHC.

Plasma i used a miller spectrum 875.

I had some of the parts to complete it cut out on a water jet and a laser then welded them as needed.

as of right now the machine works and performs perfect just need some finish touches (wire tracks and little stuff)

It was nice to be able to use the machine its self to make parts to finish it.

It's not really a kit, its a one off this is the only one like it. The kits get really pricey still. But it was not bad to make and i could do it again for even cheaper LOL.

Josh whata size steelies?

Brad. That's awesome.

Mine is just in my garage for my own personal use. It's not used for biz.

thanks! it did take a lot of time and trial and error. everything has to be spot on or it wont cut right and bind.

now time to slang a bunch of "jdm tow hooks" lol!!!!

How much could you make one for, just a rough idea?

Pm if necessary ;)

Have to say that is awesome. I always wanted to make a CNC machine for like PCB boards and what not but this is in a whole larger scale. Kudos man.

lol Hell yeah. Do you have some way of etching your name into them? or a logo perhaps?

Joe at locash has been making oil catch cans left and right with his machine. They look good too.

There is no limit to the things you could do with that machine and your knowledge.

it all depends if you can find deals or not. i waited and waited to find the right deals. to buy everything up front your looking at a lot.

500 in steel alone (cold rolled is $$)
300 for the racks
about 700 for the x,y, and z
about 100 bucks of parts being cut out on another machine (which i had to design my self)
1500 for the electronics (minus computer)
150 for computer from craigslist
2000 -2500 for a plasma

then the time to figure out how to make it work and put it together.

Im sure i am forgetting a few other things but its around 6k to build. i did mine for cheaper because i waited for deals and such.

i can put a etcher or router on it pretty simple and do a lot.
