so im thinking of pulling out and rebuilding my d16y7

I already have a new clutch and oil pan gasket
idk when the timing belt has been last replaced so i figure i want to do that
I hear a slight tick/knock from the head
so I figure ill pull it out take it all apart and clean everything
if i do the work myself im trying to get an idea of prices and what all i should get

head gasket kit- valve cover, int, ex, camshaft seals, valve stem seals is about $90
new piston rings and guide bearings- about $80
new waterpump, seal, timing belt- about $90
getting my head hot tanked-$40
looking for an inexpensive reliable way to do this- is it necessary to get the head honed or should i just get it hot tanked? also are there any other seals/ gaskets/ bearings, etc. that i should get? (rear main seal perhaps?)

so im looking at about $300, does that sound about right? and worth it to you?

With tht kinda money id get a mini me.. You would end up buying the same parts for another head and end up with better results

I suppose i might as well. can probably get a y8 head for $100 (it needs to have the head, dizzy, TB, and ECU?) but then ill feel the need to get an EX trans also....butttt are those all the parts I should replace on that or would there be other things I should replace?
