So my cars been overheating the last couple days, and today I changed the head gasket that blew. So now I got the car running again and still the same problem. Checked the water pump, checked the thermostat. My question is what are the chances of it being the dizzy from missfiring?

A misfire is from a lack of spark which could be a bad ignitor/dist cap/rotor/wires/plug(s). What kind of symptoms is your car having? Did you do a compression check?

Radiator could be clogged, fan kicking on? Fan turning thr right way?

Bled properly? Leakdown test after the new head gasket? Put the thermostat back in. Did you find out what caused it to overheat and blow the hg in the first place?

Air in the coolant system will cause overheating. Bleed they system, check for leaks, see if fan comes on.

I've never heard of a misfire causing overheating. I agree with others that you should put a thermostat back in. Just get a new one since they're cheap. How long does it take to overheat? Will it overheat just idling or do you have to drive it a while?

I just went through this this past weekend and it turns out I had a cracked fitv hose. I also removed my thermostat and ran straight water to troubleshoot the problem. I flushed out the the whole system by removing the water return line and run water from the top of the radiator. Bottom line if your water is flowing just fine and your car is overheating. The water is leaking somewhere and it's causing bubbles to build up in the system which would cause it to overheat. Another thing I notice is the water from my reservoir runs out fast, I figure it's because it's either being sucked back up by the system or it's boiling the water in teh reservoir tank.
