January 15th (Sunday)
February 4th (Saturday)
March 4th (Sunday)
April 15th (Sunday)

Standard Details for Spring Series Events:

Registration Fee SCCA Members: $20 Pre-Registration, $30 at Event

Registration Fee Non-Members: $30 Pre-Registration, $35 at Event

Time-Only Runs: $15 (you must participate in competition runs to do time-only runs)

Event Time:
6:30AM Gates Open
7:00AM - 8:15AM Registration
7:00AM - 8:20AM Tech Inspection
8:20AM Course closed for walking
8:30AM Driver's Meeting (Required)
8:45AM First car in Run Group A starts
typically 45-60 minutes Run Group A
typically 45-60 minutes Run Group B
9:45 AM - 10:15 AM Registration
9:45 AM - 10:20 AM Tech Inspection
Lunch Break: 30 minutes Course walk-through and afternoon Driver's Meeting
typically 45-60 minutes Run Group C
typically 45-60 minutes Run Group D
typically 45-60 minutes Run Group G
typically 45-60 minutes Run Group H
4:45 PM Course teardown

* you're running on the same track surface, they just put up some additional cones to force you to turn and brake more often.
* The speeds you'll see here will be much lower, and thus easier on the equipment.

Kinda not like NASA....
* You only run one lap at a time rather going lap after lap after for ~20 minutes straight. Typical format allows for 3 laps in the AM and 3 "time only" (aka they don't count towards your competition time) laps in the PM
* It's alot cheaper, but you have to work the course in the AM for ~40 minutes and if you want to do time onlys in the afternoon then it's another 40 minutes

All in all, autocross is a great primer for an open track day. You'll apply the same principles learned at the autocross as you will for road course / circuit driving.

great explaination. i don't have any hpdes done and my cars well pretty modied you suggest i just go watch on the 5th and then run on march 4th? as for the tech inspect what do they check what do i need to make sure is good on my car?

lug nuts tight
no leaks
nothing loose in the car, trunk, or engine bay (remove floor mats too)
battery tied down

If you have the ability to run both days, you should do it. Watching will just be a big tease.
No better way to learn how to swin than by jumping right in!

Come on out and run. It's your 1st event. Shouldn't be expecting to make TTOD on your first event. Just come out and drive and learn what it's all about. You can get with me at the event and I can walk you though also. My name's Stephen I drive a 2000 4door Civic(gold).

We have a great group of Instructors for all Novices also. Sign up for comp runs and get the extra Time Only runs to get as much seat time as you can. And during your Time Onlys you can ride along with me, or vice verse.

Online registration closes at Thursday February 2, 2012 @ 11:59pm. But you can register onsite if you don't do it online.

Still not enough Hondas out there, my accord with 222,228 miles on it survives . I'm sure most of the cars on here can make it through an event.

You "might" cord them with 1 autocross event. If their close. Probably wanna use the 14's just to avoid that mess.
